i-Restore is a division of BOUTIQUE|MAC, an Apple Authorized Dealer, Apple Specialist and Apple Authorized Service Provider on the west coast of Canada.  As far as we are aware, we are the only Apple Authorized Dealer in Canada that offers a web-focussed, mail-in, MacBook, iPod and iPhone off-warranty repair service.

Why is it important to be an Apple Authorized Service Provider?  It's quite simple - the others are out of the loop.  Apple doesn't manufacture its own LCD panels - they purchase them from one of only eight or so manufacturers in China.  To offer more affordable screen repairs, we simply purchase the same panels in volume from the same factories.  And unlike other companies that offer Mac screen repair services, as an Apple Authorized Service Provider we also have access to the proper mounting hardware, bezels, and other parts to ensure a factory-quality finish.  How do the others deal with that challenge?  They simply re-use what you already have, which can result in a less-than-perfect result.

Of course, being an Apple Authorized Service Provider also means that our technicians consistently maintain their Macintosh Certified Technician status, and that they are constantly aware of ongoing changes in the industry that may affect the outcome of your repair.

In addition to our specialized off-warranty services, we can also perform AppleCare hardware-based warranty work on your MacBook or MacBook Pro (but not on iPhones or iPods - only Apple itself can do that) so if you reside far away from your closest Apple Dealer, send your MacBook or MacBook Pro to us and we'll repair it and send it back to you - under many circumstances the only cost to you is freight.
